The mission of NCF Freedom is to fully protect and promote the future of New College of Florida as a unique public liberal arts college that honors academic freedom, educational innovation, collaborative student-guided learning, and its foundational values of open discourse within a just, diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.

NCF Freedom, Inc. is a pending not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization created by Sarasota-based long-term supporters of New College of Florida (NCF) to protect and promote the future of the college.

NCF Freedom will closely monitor and be ready to take legal and other actions to defend New College from threats, in line with our stated mission. NCF Freedom will represent the primary expressed interests of our organization’s members who will include students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their supporters. We also intend to support and create initiatives to add value and meaning that will enhance the New College experience.
